| Chevrolet had such a winner on its hands with the 70 and 71, that the only changes made to the 72 was a different grill and front turn signals. Sadly though the HP in the 454 was falling and to further muddy the waters in Chevelle identification any motor could be ordered in the 72 SS. It is possible to have a 1972 SS with a 307. | |||
