Web pages are HTML files which you view on the WEB. As a matter of fact the page you are viewing now is a web page.

Web pages have an amazing potential and can bring graphics,applets,etc.. onto your webpage. For example you must be able to see a small animation just below this text.(" Remember that the graphics and applets are visible only if you are using a TCP/IP account and if your browser supports them.")

You can also add images on your webpage just like the image you see below.

I think this is enough for a brief introduction to webpages.Remember that these webpages are written in a script called HTML ( HYPER TEXT MARKUP LANGUAGE ) and an organised collection of such webpages is called a web site.
