It's the time of year again...

Whether you ride the bus, walk, bike or catch a ride with mom or dad here are some important safety tips to make sure you arrive at school safe and not to mention, on time.

Riding the Bus:
1.) Have a safe place to wait for your bus, away from traffic and the street.
2.) Stay away from the bus until it comes to a complete stop and you are signaled to enter.
3.)
When dropped off, exit the bus and walk 10 GIANT steps away from the bus. Keep a safe distance between you and the bus.
4.) Use the handrail to enter and exit the bus.
5.) Be aware of the street traffic around you.

Walking:
1.)
Walk with a buddy.
2.) Wear reflective material to make you more visible to street traffic.
3.) Mind all traffic signals and / or your crossing guard.

Biking:
1.)
Be sure to wear your helmet!
2.) Walk your bike through intersections.
3.) Wear reflective material to make you more visible to street traffic.
4.) Mind all traffic signals and / or your crossing guard.

Whether walking or biking never cross the street against a light, even if you do not see any traffic coming.

Riding in a Car:
1.)
Everyone needs to be buckled up properly!
2.) Older kids in seat belts, younger kids in booster seats and little kids in child safety seats.
