Description - Well today I have my operation on my arm. Ive been waiting a year for this! All year I have had this constant niggling pain in my arm from all the metal that has been in there. Finally it is all coming out. Although it will suck because I have to have needles! NOO! Not NEEDLES! Also the physiotherapy will be excruciatingly painful as well! Physiotherapy is the most painful thing in existence.

So once the operation is done, Ill have a few weeks of vegetating in my room, so everyone feel free to come over and visit. Otherwise Ill end up just playing chess 24 hours a day like last time. I remember that last year, it got so severe that I actually resorted to watching annotated games of Josh Waitzkin on Chessmaster6000. PLEASE come over and visit 8).

Description - I've been mega busy over the past few weeks doin heaps of stuff, and amidst all that, my house got broadband internet, so I spent a few days trying to set up a wireless network between the house and my computer out in the shed, so that I can have fast internet all the time. That was looking to be more trouble than it was worth, and for a while I had no internet at all, which explains why I havent updated the site for so long. But alas, I finally worked it out, and now I can finally finish the Summer Project summary that I was working on before. Then I have a whole lot of other stuff to do, like finalise fundraising team stuff for Student Life, and work on setting up a skateboarding club at uni next year ...

After that, I cant really see myself having time to update the site any more, what with the lady, leading EFS Focus Area, being president of the skateboarding club, trying to get a job, working at the job I already have, trying to get my licence, not to mention those two degrees that Ive been working on for the past three years. So if you notice that my website is looking dead, thats because it is dead. For more up to date viewing, check out

Description - Well Im back and the operation was a total success! Woohoo! No more metal in my arm! No more constant niggling pain. One thing I learned from this experience is that private hospitals are NOTHING like public ones. The word "waiting" is not in the private hospital dictionary, yet public hospitals are the definition of waiting. I rocked up to the hospital at about midday, got sent to my room (which had a tv, phone and bathroom!), had a woman come in and shave my arm, and the next thing I know, Im being wheeled away to the operation. One relatively painless drip and a few hours later, I wake up, get wheeled to my room, and watch the simpsons. Pretty sweet deal I reckon!

Panadene forte is now my best friend. The pain this time round seems a lot less severe, or maybe I was just more mentally prepared for it. I reckon Ill be up and at em by about midway through next week. Dr Loeffler (my surgeon) is a real kool guy. He has a good sense of humour. Even though its not allowed, he let me keep the metal from my arm, so I took some shots of it so that you guys can see just how much crap has been in my arm and causing me pain over the last 12 months ...
