Here is an essay from the Wall Street Journal which I clipped even though at the time I was a liberal Democrat New Yorker.
David E. Hollingsworth
has some good
Massachusetts
firearms links, including note from a January 7, 1999
lecture
by attorney Karen MacNutt at MIT.
CD Tavares has
a great set of firearms, right to keep and bear arms, and gun control links
as do
Chris BeHanna and Jonathan
D. Schober.

Television
I watch a lot of TV, especially late at night while I'm
holding the baby.
Maybe I'll add a grid here of what I'm watching this
season, with pointers to some discussion groups for
favorite shows.
Some current favorite shows
Each should eventually be a link to a fan site.
Strikeout means a show I gave up on.
:-( means a show that has been cancelled, because
the networks don't care about quality.
- The Practice
- South Park
- Seven Days
- Futurama
- Malcolm in the Middle
- Ally McBeal
- J.A.G. -- Lawyer's with F14s!
- King of the Hill
- The PJs (?)-- remind me of home.
- Cupid :-(
- Vengeance Unlimited :-(
- Turks :-(
- Used to watch Chicago Hope and ER
Sliders :-(
Love Boat: The Next Wave -- not since they gained the laugh track :-(

Tapes I want
- The final L.A. Law
- Second City TV, Season 1, episode 5, "Match Unto My Feet",
in particular the sketch "Match Unto My Feet", described in an
episode guide Match Unto My Feet visits the
Dithers family at Passover dinner. Father Duffy (from San Francisco) tries to learn about Passover. Mr Dithers leads the service while the children make a racket, and the younger son
wants out of the family business. Includes the answer
to the question "Is Judaism a religion or an ethnicity?" Morris Dithers (Eugene Levy) answers that
"Judaism is a way ... of eating."
Ned & Stacey, Episode "Saul and Ellen and Ned and Stacey" (October 16, 1995), Ned starts to get really close
to Stacey's parents. (Got it on USA
in May!)
- TV Movie, More
Than Friends, Rob Reiner's
1979 semi-autobiographical account of his marriage
to Penny Marshall. A quintessential view of
the Bronx.
Tapes I could trade for those
- The Early
Edition pilot.
- Loads of gun stuff (ask.) Including
- Simpsons and King of the Hill on that subject.
- Mike Barnicle from 1987 -- these wild statements
led me to try to verify them. I found out he was lying.
- Some boring tests of assault rifles. (Did I mention
that other than being ugly, they're boring?)
- Some Oklahoma City bombing stuff
- President Clinton dissembling
- Final Seinfeld
- Final Roseanne
- The very first full-length Simpsons
- The Ally McBeal/Practice crossover
- Most of the last few seasons of L.A. Law
- 7 Days, pilot
