Rurouni Kenshin
Rurouni Kenshin is basically about 20-plus-year-old Kenshin Himura,
who has a deep and painful past which he tries to forget,
but often circumstances would not allow him to do so...
His deepest secrets include the fact that his parents had passed away
when he was still at a young age, yet the people who had taken him in
had died in effort to protect him. Moreover, he indirectly caused the
grief of his lover-- Tomoe, who then died to save him from harm
in the end.
Ten years ago, Japan was in chaos. Kenshin joined the fighting as
an assassin, his sword was stained with the blood of thousands.
He felt he was fighting for his own beliefs. In order to change Japan
for the better, he took up his sword, and because of his speed and
accuracy, he was named Hitokiri Battousai.
This is about Kenshin honouring his vow not to kill any more.
This is about how he found new friends, who cared about him,
regardless of his past, regardless of his identity...
