Mustique

January 22nd 

Beer bottles everywhere, Mount Gay (that's not an instruction it's a carribean rum btw) empty in the cockpit, wine bottle floating in the sink ......not a surprise then that we were all up with fuzzy heads. Headed ashore to do some walking but got as far as the rental jeep, hired it and spent a very enjoyable day racing around Mustique in our new found jalloppy. Mustiques' roads are mainly sand tracks - ideally suited for our red dream machine. Swimming on Macroni Beach and racing along the beach in the buggy. Back to the boat for supper and early to bed funnily enough. 

(Despite the early repose - failed to up date the diary for 6 days!!)

January 28th

In Rodney Bay again. Arrived after a night at Pigeon Island where Dom was whisked ashore by a lady in a speed boat to a luxury hotel. Dom back at 3am, up at 700am and therefore grumpy. In Marina did customs, internet and had radios checked which were OK. Dinghy broke down and won't start - so swim on beach cancelled. At night with Mandy and Mike for dinner -  compliments to Fergus v. good.

January 29th

Fergus last swim in AM before heading home. Dom's big toe bitten by a rat. Dom quite put off his roti and chips. I went to Vieux Fort with Fergus and driver Floyd  and picked up Macrae and Woodhead . Floyd's chatty and interesting re the history etc. 

January 30th 

Tour of island in Souffriere area with Floyd in his taxi. Very interesting and visited the volcano which was bubbling away and also had a hot spring bath. Mandy and Mike in PM exhausted and to bed. 

January 31st

Macrae and Woodhead on board . Tickets changed to allow return from Antigua after visit to BEA in Castries. In PM went out to Pigeon island and swam in the sea . Plan is to be in Martinique on Wed.
