He signed the picture 'It came out!' because when I tried to take the picture with the strobe the strobe failed. Had to figure the exposure using available light.

Driving back to the photo-lab as fast as I could without getting arrested for speeding I processed the film and made prints. Then I had the reporter deliever the prints to the ISO office before Mr. Buckwald left the base, so he could sign the picture.

The reporter had to deliver the prints because I had to go on another assignment. Never met the man myself.
