WELCOME TO
LADY CHERRI'S
PAGE
In a grove of old oaks there stands a tall slender woman wearing a rich royal red cloak.  She listens with her elvish ears as you enter her glen.  She slightly nods in your direction acknowledging your presence since she does not sense that you wish her ill will.  She continues to listen to the woods surrounding her hearing what the ancients have to say.  She taps the ground before her thrice times with her staff.  As you watch the intwining dragons on her staff seemly move ever so slightly.  You hear whispers on the rising wind in a tounge that is unknown to you, then gently and sweetly you hear a whisper in you mind. "I am known as Lady Cherri and this is my home.  You are welcomed here and if you are in need of rest and healing weary traveler, you shall find it here." Then the soft voice is gone.  Lady Cherri continues chanting softly and before her in a circle rimmed by crystals a small faery appears.  A small wood like creature with skin the color of the darkest brown and clothes resembling leaves.  Lady Cherri bows before the faery and reaches into her cloak and offers the faery something hidden from your sight.  A small hand darts forth and quickley grabs the thing Lady Cherri offered and disappears into the circling mist.  The wind dies down and a sense of peace and tranquility fills the grove.  Lady Cherri kneels and picks up the cystals and tucks them into a small purse tied to her belt.  She stands and turns to face you her violet eyes seeming to piece you in a gentle way to your very core.  He silvery white hair has come loose from her single braid and blows about her narrow elvish face.  Her dress of rich hunter green fits her form perfectly as if it was a part of her skin.  Around her waist is a belt with intricate arcane symbols and a silver dagger with an amythst stone in the hilt.  She seems to glide towards you.  "You must be tired, please let me take care of you." She leads you to a natural spring nearby.  She reaches into one of the many concealed pouches and grabs a pince of a sweet smelling herbal and spinkles it over the water.  "Please, relax and soak the weariness away stranger, these woods are well protected and even the animals here will do you no harm.  When you have finished I will return with food and drink as well as clean clothes.  Then you may rest a my home until you have regained your strength." With that she leaves you to your privacy.  After you have disrobed you step gently into the spring expecting it to be cold, but in fact it is warm.  You settle down on a slab of rock close to the bank of the spring.  The aches and pains seem to be pulled from your body and you settle your head back against a cushion of moss and close your eyes.  The image of the woman who has just left you seems to float in and out of your mind.  Where is this place you have stumbled into?  And who is this elvish woman?  You sense that she is a healer, but there seemed to be more than that.  You sensed an aura about her of strength.  And her face, so familar, and beautiful.  Her eyes seemed to glow from a fire within.  Soon you feel no aches and pains and have found some roots nearby that foam to make a type of soap.  You notice as you begin to emerge from the spring that the tiny scrapes you had have healed and the scars you beared are barely there.  You  walk to a nearby tree and grab a piece of linen to dry off with.  You hear a whisper again in your mind.  "I have brought you fresh clothes.  They are by the nearby mighty oak." You glance around and see no one. Nearby there is an old oak and underneath it lay a satchel of clothes.  You dress quickly.  Lady Cherri enters the clearing with a satchel in her arms.  She lays out a blanket and then places cheese, bread, fruit, and two goblets on it.  She hands you one of the goblets she has filled with elvish wine and invites you to sit and eat.  As you eat your fill she watches and studies you openly and with ease.  "You wonder where it is you are?" You nod your head once since your mouth is full of warm bread and sweetmeats.  "This place is close to the ruins the ancients once used.  This place is  much like a sanctuary of sorts and my home.  I am a healer and elemental user.  I can touch other's minds if they wish and allow me to.  I use the old ways which were passed down to me from mother to daughter for many generations.  I use herbs and stones to help aid in what I need to accomplish.  I have power over the elements: earth, wind, fire, and water.  I also can speak to the faerys and some animals.  I work for what is right and good, but have knowledge of the darker things in this world and many others.  I have taken an oath to help destroy those things.  It has been a while since I have journied far from my home, but I look forward to the adventure."
