Daily Prayer of the Wolf

I call to those whoe went before me for guidance to travel this days path I ask those who are yet to come what this holds for me Of Wolf and Man is what I seek I ask for the Wolf to be at one with the Man and for the Man to walk beside the Wolf I offer this prayer to the Spirits above and humbly ask for their divine help to live my life to the fullest and bring honor to myself and my people.

WOLF EYES

As I look into the eyes of brother wolf,
I see honor, strength, dignity.
So I wonder how can man destroy,
these wonderful creations of the creator.
Look into the eyes of a wolf,
and you shall see your soul laid bare,
and know that there are greater things,
in this world other than material wealth.
Look deep into the wolf eyes,
and you shall see the greatest creature,
to have ever walk this earth.
Look into your own eyes, and see,
the greatest destroyer,
that walks this earth.
I am starting to learn,
that man does not have to be as he is,
we can too, have wolf eyes.

An old Grandfather said to his grandson,
who came to him with anger at a friend who had
done him an injustice, Let me tell you a story.
I too, at times have felt a great hate for those who have taken so much with no sorrow for what they do.
But hate wears you down, and it does not hurt your enemy.
It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die.
I have struggled with these feelings many times.
He continued, It is as if there are two wolves inside me: one is good and does no harm.
He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended.
He will only fight when it is right to do so and in the right way.
But..........
the other wolf,
Ah!
He is full of anger. He fights everyone all the time for no reason.
He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great.
It is a helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing.
Sometimes it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit.
The boy looked intently into his Grandfather's eye's and asked, Which one wins Grandfather?
The Grandfather smiled and quietly said

"THE ONE I FEED"!
