It was a great mini vacation in July. First stop Nanaimo from the ferry then straight to Port Alberni. Jan, Nick and Grant had made their way to the island earlier in the week and I met them there for a weekend. We stayed in Port on a Nick's farm. City girl meets the rooster. Imagine that.
The tour continued in Long Beach and Tofino. The beaches are beautiful there. Surfers were ready for the waves super early in the morning with wetsuits on. Greenpoint campsite is where its at. Its a skip to the beach from your site and bonfires are a plenty at night.
After Tofino, we headed to our last stop Victoria. The provincial capital so Parliament buildings are the main attraction. *yawn*
We had brunch in a neat little restaurant lookin like Sicily. Of course I've never been so Sicily can look pretty much like anything I can picture...
