The city is everything we expected and more!
Its alive with constant waves of people on the streets and a sea of yellow cabs each direction you look. The people are all nice and helpful. Many of whom offered to help us find our way around the city. Times Square was our common area for hanging out because of its close vicinity to Broadway, tour bus headquarters and cheesecake cafes. Stores sell anything and everything you can think of. Luckily, we did not get sucked into buying too many "I LOVE NYC" memorabilia.
To live by movie and shows in New York we visited: Serendipity, Park Plaza Hotel, Soup Nazi, Rockafeller Centre, NBC Studios, Cafe Lalo, FAO Schwartz, Madison Square Garden, Staten Island Ferry..just to name a few :)
We watched Phantom of the Opera and Chicago on Broadway. Both shows were magnificent. The sidewalk along Broadway actually sparkle.
We saw all the favorites, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and Ground Zero. The Met, Central Park and Saks Fifth Avenue-of course!! We were blessed with warm weather and great hosts for the first couple of days. We saw most of the 5 boroughs: Brooklyn, Harlem and Queens. The list goes on..
Here's a few pix from the whirlwind trip. Enjoy!
