He kissed her bare shoulder. She moaned softly. He brought her soft body closer to his. He kissed up along her neck. She licked her lips. He moved up toward the sensitive spot on her neck. She opened her eyes and realized this wasn�t a dream. He was laying there beside her.
�Joey?�
�Mmmmhmmm.�
�Stop a sec.�
She rolled over then moved a strand of hair from her vision. She put her arm around his waist and touched his face with her other hand then looked into his deep brown eyes. He sensed uneasiness in her gaze.
�Joey.� His eyes looked to hers with concern.
�I heard�Kelly�s pregnant.�
His eyes fell to the bed sheet. A product of his infidelity, a constant reminder of an act he hadn�t forgiven himself for.
She lifted his chin to meet her face.
�and I was just wondering if you fathered the baby.� She continued still looking into his eyes.
�Yeah, she is pregnant.�
�Did you father the baby?� She said slowly.
He shrugged. �I don�t know.�
�What if you did,what are we going to do?�
�I�ll support her emotionally and financially.�
He rubbed her back and kissed her forehead. She pulled her arm from around him and took her hand off his face. She rolled on her side with her back facing him. A tear fell from her eye then a smile crept upon her lips. Joey whispered her name as he rolled onto his back to stare at the ceiling fan. He sniffled and felt a warm streak of water come down his cheek. With blurred vision, he looked at the sleeping figure beside him. He exhaled and reached out to her.
�Babe, I know you�re angry--� He stopped and remembered something she said �what are we going to do?� He smiled.
