Oh Daddy, look at me in this dress of white
Don't I look so pretty pretending to be a bride tonight?
When I grow up, a real wedding dress you'll buy
And I won't be pretending on that day in some July

Look at me, dear Daddy, as I dance around so slow
In my real wedding, my face will have such a glow
Down the aisle I'll walk with you beside me all the way
And you'll give me to my husband with loving words to say

That day I will be all grown up and have a life of my own
And I'll remember all the things to me you have shown
I'll take my husband's hand and become his faithful wife
With years to grow older and share with him my life

Oh Daddy, so proud of me I know you will be
As I grow older and a beautiful lady you'll see
I'll grow and start a family as the years pass by
For I'll cherish all these moments shared between you and I

Oh dear Daddy, why do you cry as you look at me
I'm still just your little girl, don't you see?
Daddy, let me dry your eyes with my hankerchief of white
I'll always be daddy's little girl as I am tonight

Oh Daddy, your little girl I'll be no matter what
And I'll love you forever, and you know that's alot
