Pure Delight

Dancing in the moonlight
In dreams of pure delight
The stars above are sparkling
And the moon is glowing light
My heart is floating like a cloud
Within my sleep I see
A picture of the one I love
Looking back at me

His eyes are filled with gentleness
And looking now I see
A man filled with compassion
And tender love for me
His arms are reaching toward me
To hold me close to him
My arms reach out to meet him
And then the dream goes dim

I lay here in the moonlight
Its soft covering so free
I feel the warmth of his embrace
Before the dream left me
I close my eyes and drift once more
Into a peaceful sleep
And then I feel the one I love
And I can't help but weep

His arms hold me so tightly
As if he somehow knows
The time we have together
Will be gone with the mornings glow
Dancing in the moonlight
A dream i've had before
In the arms of the man I love
The dream shall end once more
