Day 3
This morning we left Ogallala in a rainy mist and headed west once more. It was a very dreary day to say the least and I was glad today's trip to Estes was only going to be about 4 hours. I can honestly say it boring and I tried text messaging and taking photos and sending them from my cell phone but most of the time we had little or no cell coverage. As we approached the canyon going up the foot hills to Estes it began to snow on us, and has yet to stop. We arrived shortly after 12, and room check in was not till 3 so took a tour through the park looking for elk and enjoying the snow.
We had a wonderful dinner at Dunraven, a local restaurant done in a Mona Lisa motif that's has great Italian food. We are tucked in for night watching it snow and excited to see if we are going to get the 4 to 6 inches they have been talking about today.
