Day 2

After  a delightful breakfast of fresh baked breakfast cakes, French toast, fruit and scrambled eggs, we were off and on the road again.  We hoped onto interstate 80 and headed west across Iowa.  I will say it was a fairly boring drive but as usual I found it was fun to entertain my self by text messaging family and friends as well as singing.  Not real exciting and some what annoying to Steve but it kept us motivated to get to Ogallala, Nebraska.   This was a fairly short drive for us today, about 8 hours but we had decided before leaving Wentzville we would not push coming across Iowa or Nebraska.  A few years back we had spent the night in Ogallala, and Steve has talked non stop about a local place where they server huge steaks and baked potatoes to match.  Imagine the look on his face when he found it was not open on Sunday.  One of the interesting things we did see today at a rest stop was a team of sled dogs, they were travel through with the sled on top of their SUV.  A strange sight but fun to see.
