I can't believe it's already been that long, and I'd just like to thank everyone for their support this past year! I know news has been scarce, but we are here with an update! Cherie's smash hit single "I'm Ready" is the title track for the new movie Just Like Heaven, starring Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo!!! I thought this was great news, and proves that although Cherie may be out of the spotlight for the moment, her talent is still shining strong and being recognized and heard across the country! Dunno if you caught this, but one of the contestants auditioning for American Idol 4 decided to sing Cherie's "I'm Ready" for their audition piece for Simon, Paula, and Randy. Unfortunately, the contestant did not make it through because they were "too Broadway" and too show-choir esque. 11.14.04: CHERIE'S BACK ON TV! You've seen Cherie featured on shows like As The World Turns and heard her music on shows like Wild Card, and now she's making her return to the small screen to appear in 5 episodes of the UPN sitcom One on One where she will be playing Charlie, a singer in Arnaz's band. In the first episode, they will be using two of her songs. The show airs at 8 p.m. Mondays on UPN in most cities, however I would check your local listings for a guarenteed airing time and date. Cherie recently had the chance to perform for Arthur Ashe Kids Day - the kickoff to the U.S. Open - alongside Jojo and Gavin Degraw! She wowed a crowd of 20,000+ with her soaring signature ballad, "Older Than My Years" and her smash hit single, "I'm Ready"! 9.4.04: SLIGHT "DTOUR"... After wrapping her successful multi-city tour with Clay Aiken, Cherie's back out on the road again, this time embarking on a mall tour! The tour, entitled Simon DTour Live will feature performances by Cherie, Ryan Cabrera, and Ashlee Simpson on selected dates, and not only that, but those attending tour dates will have a chance to take part in an exclusive Q & A session with Cherie, so this is definitely something you guys will all want to check out!
