In a Far Away Land
I had the greatest poem ever but I left it in my head.
It was about you and me and our love,
given to us from the angels above.
We were in a far away land
with endless blue skies and white warm sands.
The touch of your hands set my skin on fire,
your kiss on my lips stopped my heart beat
I was dizzy with passion as you electrified my soul
I had your kisses every minute, every hour, every day
But unfortunately for you and to me
I awoke to the bleeping of my alarm in the early morning light
instead of grabbing paper and pen
to write the words I whispered in your ears
I lied awake in my canopy bed alone
thinking of you in my wonderful dream
and this love unknown to me.
