| Bridges O'Neal, son of William O'Neal, was born ca. 1778. He married Polly Hinton on August 29, 1798, in Johnston County, North Carolina, and seven children were born. Sometime prior to 1809, Bridges O'Neal and his family moved to Clarke County, Alabama. In 1830, Bridges O'Neal was living in Marengo County, Alabama and are listed in the census records there. The death and burial for Bridges O'Neal and Polly Hinton are unknown at this time. However, the will for Bridges O'Neal was filed in Marengo County, Alabama on November 6, 1844, and as his wife was not mentioned, it is assumed that she died prior to this time. [The Marengo County Genealogical Society shows Bridges O'Neal and Polly Hinton buried in the O'Neal Family Cemetery, in Marengo County, Alabama in unmarked graves. (ref. C.A.
