| OH MY FUCKING GOD! This show was brutal as hell! (I stole your word Pete) Featured at the Illinois Brewing Company in Bloomington, IL were Skeptik and Low Twelve. This was Low Twelve's "This Side Toward Enemy" CD Release party part 2. Set atop a 12ft or so stage, -which I heard it was HOT AS HELL to play up there-you got to look up-way up- at the bands. It gave for a great birds eye view of the MOSH PIT however! The pit was insane! The chicks were showing the guys how its really done! Its always a great time whenever you mix good metal with good beer and crazy metal heads. \m/ \m/ (Sorry I havent posted pictures from either show yet, but they are comming!) | Nickie Davis-Wolff Benefit - Chaser's Effingham, IL- 03-04-2006 |
| The Nickie Davis-Wolff benefit included a raffle and live bands of all sorts. There was country music in the early part of the evening, cover bands in the latter, and metal bands to end the night. Those included were Country Cutups, Thunder Road, Wokken Stik, 5.9, Ocularis, Skeptik, and Ghengis Khan. Although we were running about 45 minutes behind schedule, everyone had a good time including Nickie herself. Most of those who bought raffle tickets put Nickie's name on them, which was very nice to do! Thank you all for comming out and showing your support for Nickie's cause. Your time and donation is greatly appreciated in this difficult time. | MOVIE - WHEN A STRANGER CALLS This movie starts out with a teen girl who gets grounded and is forced to babysit. She is driven by her father 20 minutes away from anywhere and left in a huge house to stay until midnight or so. The parents leave and set the security alarm and she feels safe as can be... Until he calls. Maybe it is just a friend pranking her? Suddenly the security alarm goes off. Jill thinks its just the maid, so she tells the security company everything is ok. Is it really? The phone rings again and again. "Have You Checked The Children?" This psychological thriller will have you jumping and making you wonder - are YOU being watched? "When A Stranger Calls" is available at your local video rental store. MOVIE - MADAGASCAR This movie is FUNNY AS HELL!! We give it \m/ \m/ ! This movie is for the whole family, although maybe some famous quotes are not intended to be repeated by children, like "Hover Dam were still in Brooklyn!". Its about a group of zoo animals who find out that the penguins are going to escape, so they decide to join them. Along the way are hillarious adventures, and eye-watering comedy. Other cute phrases include "Smile a wave boys, cute and cuddly", and "You didnt see nothin" by the gang of penguins trying to escape the zoo. If you have not checked out this movie yet, what the HELL are you waiting for? |
