Lao’s Return
It’s been a few months since I have began the search for Species 84702. He is clearly alive and has run away, for when I arrived at the site, of the failed mission of February 13th, the tracking device the military placed in the back of his neck, was covered in blood and placed in plain sight. Lao was toying with us and we knew it. There was a body missing as well. Moira’s gear was left in the factory but the body wasn’t anywhere in sight. My initial guess was that the beast, called Lao, had taken her to be with him. This is, of course, what I believed at the time, which is far from the truth. I am a special agent, given the strength and agility of the vampire and hold none of the weaknesses, although I am still subtle to the many ways a life can be taken from an ordinary human. I have been in search for Lao since that night. I arrived the morning after team alpha had gotten there and all I saw was the gruesome scene left behind. My name is Dwade MacFay. I stand at five and nine inches tall. I have dirty blond hair, about to my shoulders, pulled back and blue eyes. I am an outcast from the normal world and the tattoo on my hands that make all shun me like a freak of nature. I am to get it removed when I bring Lao to them, in any way possible. Here is the story of Lao and what had transpired after that night.
The two, Lao and Moira, where standing in the middle of the factory. They just stood there looking at one another knowing what the other was going to say before anything was said, and so it was silent. This was unchanged for about a half hour when Moira warned, “They’ll come after you still.”
“I know.” Lao said as if he had already spent years of torment of the chase.
“They’ll track you.” Moira warned again.
“I know that as well.” Lao said as he reached into his pocket and drew forth the device. “It’s been out the entire time.” Lao said reassuringly. The two resumed to read each other’s mind when Lao began, “I would very much like to spend what life this is with you, but one such as me doesn’t deserve a beauty such as you.”
“Shouldn’t I make that decision for myself?” Moira spoke up.
“In most cases I would say ‘yes, it’s your decision’ but this time I am saying that I am to leave. If we meet again in this course of existence then you can make that decision.” Moira stared at him as he turned and placed the device on a table as he walked past Moira. He continued, knowing that he had but an hour or two before the sun arose and he would be turned to dust. He never looked back as he opened the doors and took off. Moira ran to the doors to see in which direction he went but he was gone from sight, at least so she thought. She took off her gear and left as well, she wasn’t going to help hunt the one being that she’s been able to mentally connect with. She went into a type of hiding, mainly just from the government. Lao headed to the basement of the factory, through the back, where he made a passage that could not be noticed by a human even while searching. He hid there even when he heard commotion upstairs; he felt it best to stay hiding. When he rested he had dreamt of Moira, his eyes never seen such beauty before, not even in his wildest dreams. Sadly the dream filled him with dread as he saw her standing in the streets of some city. As he walked up to talk to her, something came out of the shadows and took him off guard. He awoke and was happy for being blessed with Moira in his dream, but he wondered what it meant. Night soon came and he was to be leaving. He refrained from divulging in drinking upon human blood and found sources of nutrition elsewhere. He left the factory and decided to head to Europe. He hid in the cargo hold of a plane. He loathed planes from his first incident from them. It took a while but the journey was made, but little did he know that Dwade was right above him, in a seat headed in the same direction.
As the plane was landing, Lao found some suitable clothes for the area
he was to be staying in at the time. He changed into baggy black pants as well
as a black shirt, with some comfortable shoes. He also found a trench coat
which was large for his size. The coat would drag on the ground, and even when
his arms were folded you could barley see his hands. He then made his way up to
where the passengers were and followed them out, making sure that sunlight
didn’t touch him. Once in the airport he found a nice place to wait for
nightfall, so he could travel faster then his current position. I was a little
hungry so I went to the food bar, passing a short fellow in a trench coat along
the way. After I ate I headed for the streets, someone was bound to have seen
him. Little did I know that he had acquaintances in
“Umm yes, is uh, Kyryn there?” Loa responded.
“Speaking,” replied the voice, “May I ask who this is?”
“Yes, it’s an old friend. Let me say I’m sorry right off, I never had a chance to get in touch with you and I never had intentions of loosing them with you.” Lao said
“Lao!” exclaimed Kyryn, “Where in the devil have you been? I’ve missed you. Where are you now?”
“One question at a time” Lao responded, “I’ve been, umm, kept up with something, I’ve missed you as well, and I am in Paris.”
Kyryn, even through the loss of touch with her old friend, knew something wasn’t right. “Lao, what’s wrong, what’s this something? You’re holding something back, I can tell from your voice.” She inquired.
“All will be known in due time. So let’s meet at the Eiffel Tower. And if you can come, come alone.” Loa said as he hung up.
Later that night, Kyryn was waiting at the bottom of the tower, expecting to meet her lost friend. She then heard a soft thud directly behind her. “Don’t turn around,” commanded the voice. Kyryn, now a little frightened, turned anyway.
“Lao, what happened you’re so pale? Are you alright?” she began questioning.
Lao said nothing as he gave her a hug and began to whisper in her ear the story of what he has become. Kyryn’s eyes widened as he finished with the words “and now I am the legendary vampire.” She took a step back, and looked over her friend again. Lao bowed his head in disappointment; he thought she would have taken it differently. “That’s so neat!” Kyryn exclaimed.
“Wait, what?” Lao looked puzzled
“That’s awesome. You’re a vampire.” She had the look of sheer amusement.
“It’s not as great as you think. My life is now ruined. I have to feed off of blood. I can never see daylight without the risk of being destroyed. People fear you, for these teeth don’t go away” Lao pointed out that a few of his teeth have gotten elongated and have become ten times sharper.
“ohh…” Kyryn seemed embarrassed for her previous comment. “I’m sorry, why did they do this? Is there a cure?”
“The American government wanted to create a super spy, one that was quicker then any human, stealthier, more dangerous, basically an assassin that could never fail. But they realized that they could make one more advanced then what they made me, I think I was their first. I actually met one of the new experiments, she was nice.” Lao bean to explain.
“She huh?” Kyryn raised her eye brows.
“Sorry, I’m not going to be with another while I am like this. No one deserves to be with a monster such as I.” Lao said, assuring her that there wasn’t anything that was going to happen between the two. “I left her back in America; I doubt she’d be able to find me. The world is too large for two individuals to run into each other after departing in separate directions from one point. The chance is too slim.”
“But the chance is still there. You never know, maybe you both came to Paris.” Kyryn began.
“I hate to ask this of you but may I stay with you for a little bit? I need to figure out where to go from here.” Lao asked, knowing that she’d take him in, but feeling bad for asking, also trying to change the subject. He needed to find a place to get out of the open soon, for daylight would be up in a few hours.
“Course, you know I would take you in. Ohh yea, umm, I’m kinda living with someone too. I’ve been with him for a while now. He’ll get jealous if I bring you inside…” Kyryn was cut off.
“I can find another place to stay, that won’t be a problem I guess. Don’t worry…” Lao was then cut off.
“No, I’ll take you in. I was just giving you a warning that he might act funny towards you.” Kyryn said reassuringly.
“Thanks, but if you have a basement or some place very dark, I can stay there out of sight and out of trouble.” Loa informed her.
“Alright, that shouldn’t be a problem.” Kyryn replied. The two headed off to Kyryn’s place. Lao never met her boyfriend and only talked with Kyryn an hour or so after sunset. After that Lao would duck out of the house and wander the streets and alleyways of Paris, looking up at the sky hoping to see a star to wish upon. He happened to walk into a park and passed a small tree line, and then he saw it. A star, faint, but he saw it and made his wish.
Lao walked to the same grove the same way every night, and always just got home before the sun arose. This went on for months, and his hair grew; now he tied it back, like that of a samurai. What he didn’t know was that there was a man who would stop by once a week and ask Kyryn and Wile, Kyryn’s significant other, if they had seen Lao. I’ve been to them so often that Wile, let me in one time for a little brunch before departing again. I thought something was amiss, for even Kyryn couldn’t conceal the fact that she knew something, but wasn’t saying anything. So as I walked past Kyryn, I had slipped a monitor, a device that I was going to use to listen in on her conversations, into her pocket. I “accidentally” tripped over the table in the hallway and bumped into her. “I’m sorry. I’m so clumsy in foreign territory.” I claimed.
“Ohh it’s alright. I do that all the time in familiar territory.” She assured me. The two laughed a little. Wile gave us both a small, very slight glance. We went into the living room and relaxed as some snack foods were brought in.
“So, I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name.” Wile stated.
“Dwade, Dwade MacFay; pleased to meet you.” I responded.
“Well, you’ve been at my house often. May I ask what you’re doing or planning?” Wile inquired
“Yes, well, I’m tracking someone dangerous. We looked at his records and he’s had only one real friend that he would come to in times of need. We figure that he’s here, in Paris. The idea is that he’ll be coming here, unless he already has.” I gave a look at Kyryn
“Nope, haven’t seen or heard from him in years. I didn’t even know he was still alive.” Kyryn said without looking at me.
“You’re friends with a dangerous person? When were you going to tell me this?” Wile asked Kyryn.
“I didn’t know that he was dangerous. And there’s nothing to tell if I don’t know anything.” Kyryn responded.
“Anyway, if you see him or know where he may be, or well anything, please let me know.” I said as I stood up to leave. “I’ll show myself out, don’t worry about it.” With that I left.
That night Kyryn walked down into the basement, for her evening powwow. “So this guy came today. He was asking about you.” Kyryn started the conversation.
“Yea? What did he want?” Lao responded.
“Well he’s looking for you. He told us that you might be here or come in contact with me. Since I’m you’re only real friend. Is that true?” Kyryn inquired.
“Yea. Basically you’re the only one I confided in, but if this guy has been coming to you, then maybe it’d be best that I leave…” Lao was trying to finish his thought when Kyryn came in.
“No! We’ll be fine here and so will you. You can stay with us as long as you need.” Kyryn promised.
“Why do you care for me so much?” Lao asked.
“I lost you once and you meant the world to me then. I don’t really want to loose you again.” Kyryn responded.
“I don’t understand...” Lao paused, “Forget I said anything.” Lao shrugged off his question.
“What were you going to say?” Kyryn pursued, “please tell me.”
“No, it was just something I thought long ago. Anyway, I should head out for the night. I’ll be back before sunrise.” Lao said as he stepped over to a window.
“Please tell me.” Kyryn pleaded.
“It was a long time ago, when you were with someone else. I always thought if there was ever anything between us. Cause you said I was so much of this and that. That I was so great and you always wanted to be with me and all. So I always thought about ‘us’.” Lao said as he lifted himself out of the window. “It’s been through my mind now and then and when you brought that up it came again. Don’t worry about it, it’s stupid. Be back later,” and with that Lao left to go a different rout this time. He was going to go through some alleyways and just wander the streets. Tonight was a strange night and Lao felt it. Something was going to happen tonight and Lao was going to experience it.
Lao was walking the streets as he heard a female scream, “Help me. Help…” The voice became muffled. Lao ran to help and as he rounded the corner into an alley he saw something he hated, something he despised. He saw a pale figure behind the woman, with his head faced down against her neck.
“Hey, stop.” Lao shouted as he moved forward. The figure looked up, and the eyes from the woman were glazed.
“Stop?” the creature paused, “Stop and let this poor woman bleed to death slowly?” came a hiss like voice. “That’s crueler then drinking her.” Lao looked at the blood that was trickling from her neck, his hunger grew and his eyes became red with lust; a lust for the very blood that was pouring out of the poor soul. “Ahh you want her don’t you? You want to drink this liquid of life, this tasty fluid.” The image taunting him, Lao shook his head hard.
“No! I’m not like that.” He looked up at the figure. “You prey on the innocent. Let’s see how an equal fares.” Lao leapt for the man pushing the girl out of the way. He swung with his right, and grazed the man’s face. The man backed up a little. Loa swept kicked the guy’s feet out from under him, stood up and punched him in the side, sending the beast flying into the garbage bails. The man burst from the garbage and leapt at Lao. He dove for his neck, but Lao countered with a swift kick to the man’s chin that stood him up strait. He then followed that up with an open palm thrust into his chest hard enough to hear bones crack. The man stood up again and began to advance on Lao. He threw a barrage of punches that were blocked and then countered, while he himself blocked the counters. This routine was halted when Lao jumped up and uppercut the man with his knee. As the man was airborne, Lao did a back flip kick to the man’s lower spine. The creature hit the wall of the building face first and upside down. Loa quickly sent a flying knee the back of the creatures head before he fell to the ground. Lao knew what he had to do, so he found what piece of wood he could find and shoved it into the beast’s chest, puncturing the heart. The creature shook violently until all that was left was a skeleton. He dragged the remains out on to the street for when daylight came he would be dust. He quickly ran back to the girl. She was dieing, there would only be one way to save her; but would it truly be “saving”? He looked at her, “Can you understand me?” He tried to communicate with her. She merely nodded. “You were bitten by a vampire, you’re going to die. I can make the pain stop and end it all right now…” she began to nod her head “no”. “The only other way is to turn you, and that’s not a life at all.” Lao assured her
“Please save me.” Is all she said, as she started to fall comatose.
“Damn,” Lao thought, “I can’t do it. I can’t create more of the abomination I am. If I don’t she dies; but she doesn’t want to die. Screw it; I’ll kill her later if I have to.” Lao bent down and finished off what blood was left in her, and then sat back as to wait for some miracle to happen. He knew that it’ll take a couple of hours, so he was limited on time. He was about an hour from home, and she should be coming out of it an hour and a half before sunrise. She finally sat up.
“What happened?” She asked.
“You are now a vampire. Time is limited, for when the sun hits you you’ll turn to dust. You must feed off of blood, but if I catch you drinking the blood of innocence, then I will find you and kill you. There are more bad qualities, and some more good. Meet me in the park tomorrow night, and I’ll explain everything, for now find a dark place to rest for the day.” Lao informed her and then left as fast as possible, he was going to get burned and he knew it.
He did a baseball slide into Kyryn’s basement just as the sun hit his left arm; it burst into flames almost instantly. Once Loa was inside he quickly snuffed out the fire, the burns will have been healed by that night, another unforeseen ability. Lao found his dark corner, where the sun never reached and rested for the day. That morning there was a knock on Kyryn’s door. She quickly through on her robe and walked down stairs. She answered the door to see Dwade standing there with a look of glee on his face. “Ma’am, I need Lao.” I exclaimed.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, sir.” She responded.
“I’m sorry to tell you this, but I bugged you last time. I listened to who you talked to last night, and there was another male’s voice and, if I am not mistaken, it was in the basement.” I continued. As I mentioned another man, Wile came down the stairs.
“What other man?” he asked.
“No one dear.” Kyryn responded.
“Tell me where he is and I’ll leave it at that.” I continued.
“What are you two talking about? Isn’t it early for you Dwade?” Wile tried getting more information.
“Actually I get little sleep now. But that’s beside the point. May I ask to inspect your basement?” I asked Wile.
“No prob…” Kyryn cut Wile off.
“Yes, we would. Now if you wouldn’t mind it is still very early and, I for one, would like to go back to sleep.” Kyryn finished. She closed the door, I was at a loss for now, I don’t go against someone’s wishes, and I still had morals.
“What was that about Kyryn? Why does he want to inspect our basement?” Wile still morning dazed was trying to put everything together.
“Nothing. He was just trying to be nosy.” Kyryn responded. “Let’s go back to bed.” The two returned back to their room and morning passed more quickly for them. They went about their business for the day, except for Wile. For some reason he had to know what had occurred this morning, so he took a quick trip downstairs. He searched the room real quick, for he was always a little creped out in the basement, from the clutter and dankness of it all. He was about to go back up stairs when he caught a glimpse of something. As he went to inspect, what seemed to be a sleeping man with a sleeve missing, the man opened his eyes.
“What the HELL?!” Wile screamed. Kyryn ran to the basement as Lao stepped out of his shadows making sure not to get hit by the light. “Who are you and what are you doing in my house?” Wile yelled. “Kyryn, call the police.” He commanded
“No, he’s a friend of mine.” Kyryn told Wile.
“He’s the dangerous one isn’t he? I’m getting Dwade.” Wile turned to head up stairs as an eerie whisper of a voice came from Lao’s mouth.
“You don’t want to do that.” He said calmly.
“Ohh yea? Why not?” Wile said with confidence.
“Because if you go to get that man I will be forced to kill you, and even though I don’t like to, I would enjoy it.” Lao explained.
“umm… ahh…,” Wile stammered, “that’s good enough reason for me” he finished with fear in his voice.
“Kyryn, thank you for the stay. I want you to forget about what I said the other night and forget about me if you can. Yes we are good friends, but I am more of a problem then a help. I will leave tonight.” Lao said.
“Why not now?” Wile asked, with a hint of jealousy. Lao just gave him a look that made him take a step back.
“If I could, I would. For too much has happened and I need to leave. You helped me a lot Kyryn and I would like to thank you in some other way other then just saying it.” Lao said as he stepped back into the shadows, “Now if you’ll excuse me I need to get some sleep.” The two went up stairs with Wile leading Kyryn out.
As Kyryn went down for her and Lao’s chat, she discovered that there wasn’t a trace of him to be found. She felt heartbroken. No one has been able to communicate and know so much about her, and now that person is gone. The person that would help her with her problems is now free with all her secrets. She felt naked as she began heading back up the stairs with tears weld up in her eyes. As she reached the top, she raised her head and caught the beads of ice as she went to release their friends in her pillow. Lao headed to the park where he had said he would meet the girl, sure enough he did. He sat her down on a bench and began to explain to her, what had occurred and what will happen. Then once she had heard it all, he left, never to see her again. Lao walked the streets again alone, trying to see the stars. He tried to find the one he wished upon, and when he thought he saw it he stopped just standing there in between two houses in the middle of the alleyway. Just as his mouth parted to say something, someone grabbed him and pulled him into the alley way. Lao broke free of the hold and turned to see a man in a beige trench coat, with blond hair. Lao knew this one was strong, at least stronger then the one last night, but how? That question raced through his mind. Something was different about this man and he knew what but couldn’t place his finger on it. The man grinned. “Is something funny?” Lao asked
“Yea, my journey has finally come to an end. I will be rid of the curse bestowed upon me to find you.” The man responded.
“So you’re Dwade MacFay? I don’t plan on letting you take me in.” Lao said, then remembered something I had just said, “There’s a cure?” he inquired.
“For me. I am branded, and once removed I can live a normal life again, no one will be the wiser, no one would ask questions and I can put the beast to rest.” I explained.
“Listen, I have gone though one person after another, I don’t want to kill you too.” Lao said.
“No worry.” I responded, “You won’t be able to kill me for I am no longer human.” I leapt for Lao, to test his reaction. I was extremely crafty; this meeting was just to see how Lao reacted, a study if you will. Lao flipped over me and stood with his back towards me.
“Listen, you find a cure for me and I will come peacefully.” Lao said, “Otherwise, you’ll never be able to catch me, especially if you make attacks like that.” I merely laughed.
“Sad I thought you would be smarter.” I claimed
“What do you mean?” Lao asked.
“That was merely a test, the first one actually. Want the second?” I asked.
“Bring it on, friend.” Lao said with confidence. I did a sweep, trying to take Lao off his feet, but he took a small jump and tuned to face me. He began to attack and block and counter and block and attack again. We were equally matched, at least for now. I wasn’t nearly trying my hardest, for this was just a test, but I knew that he wasn’t either. Lao did a back flip, turned, jumped against one of the buildings and leapt after me. I took a side step and went to kick him in the stomach as he flew by. He placed his hands on my foot and pushed off, performing another flip as he went to sweep out my leg. I preformed a back flip and jumped to kick Lao in the face, but he ducked and kicked me in the foot that was at rest, sending my flying upward. When I landed he was gone, I smiled. He knew I wasn’t using my full strength, but now I know what I need. The next time we meet he will be mine; sadly I have to track him down yet again. Now I had an idea, it contained using Moira but without her knowing it, but I would need to find her first. That would be the easy part of the problem.
I set out to capture and eliminate Lao. I had to track the elusive creature all over the city. Finally, I figured out his routine; foolish on his part. I found out that Moira was hanging out in this one hotel, using what sources I had in this country. I went to the desk and handed them a letter, I described the female and said her name. I also told him that she must receive this note with the greatest urgency. She got the note with dinner and headed out to the destination written on the note. “Lao, are you there?” She asked in the darkness of a run down building.
“Sorry, Lao asked me to come and greet you.” I exclaimed as I took a step out of the shadows, but keeping my face still masked by the dark.
“How do you know Lao?” She questioned.
“Well, we met one night, and just hit it off.” I smirked.
“Really, is he alright?”
“Yes he’d fine, but he wants to
meet you at
“Why didn’t he just write that in the note?”
“He wanted to see if you’d really respond.”
“Well then please tell him that I’ll be there. When does he want to meet?”
“Well I think tomorrow night should be fine.”
“I’ll be there then.” Moira left, somewhat excited to se him once more; little did she know that she was just part of the plan. I left to go and prepare for tomorrow night. I slept the day and meditated to calm myself for the battle that was about to begin. I assembled a weapon that I am supposed to use to subdue Lao. It’s about shotgun size, but sends a device that entangles its target, then by delivering shock impulses it makes its victims pass out. I wanted to see this in action plus I didn’t want the fight to become too dragged out.
Night came quick, and I got into my position. Lao was walking looking at hat starts he could, admiring all he could. He was beginning to like to be alive in the night. Not many people seemed worried about him, and if they were, word never got to him about it. He turned the corner and under a lamppost stood Moira. “Wait is that who I think it is,” Lao pondered. He continued to walk on. Once Lao was sure it was her, “Moira!” he yelled, as he quickened his pace. As Moira turned to look at Lao, she caught something Lao could not have seen. Lao’s smile became that of sadness as he saw the look on Moira’s face. Just then a small circular disk railed Lao in the side throwing him into the air. While aloft, metal bands wrapped his arms to his body. As he hit the group he began to scream in pain as he was shocked. Anyone looking at the sight could see the blue sparks that would shimmer along the bands. I walked out of the shadows, to see Moira run over to Lao. “I wouldn’t touch him if I were you.” I warned.
“What did you do? Why? I thought you two were friends?”
“Lao is my target. Once I’m done with him I’m done with the ridiculous government.” I explained. “Free from the burden of being labeled as a monster.” Moira knelt over Lao, as he riled in pain. A tear began to fall from her face as I began to walk up to rest my hand on her shoulder. She reached up and with one of the fastest moves I’ve seen, flipped me onto Lao. My heel caught the device emitting the electrical pulses and it stopped. I flipped back up behind Moira, “That was a mistake, for there is a bounty on your head too.” At that comment she leaped up and turned to face me. Eyes filled with tears she lunged. “Foolish.” I laughed as I kicked her left hand with a force that set her standing in front of me followed with a sweep that took her off her feet and onto her back. I placed my foot at her neck and held something to her chest. She froze with terror as she knew what it was I could do with a slight thrust with my hand. What caught me off guard was Lao. He knocked me off my feet by throwing his body into me. What surprised me more was what I saw, for the creature that leaped over me and pinned Lao to the ground was yet another Night Walker.
“You Fool, I was helping you. Now you’ll die too.” The new comer said. He raised razor sharp nails that would have easily cut through Lao's throat, but Moira jumped and knocked the creature off Lao. “I wanted to keep you around too, but alas, you’ll die as well.” He said as he was to his feet instantly, performing a back flip and kicking Moira in the stomach knocking me over. Seeing Moira headed towards me I quickly hit the release on the gun that set loose Lao. The three of us got to our feet with the 6 foot tall Vampire standing in front of us in the middle of the street. With a laugh he called out “The three of you combined are no match for what I am.” We gazed at what had to be one of the scariest sights that anyone could behold. The creature began to change, growing hair and ripping through his cloths. He grew a good foot at least. His face took on some features of a wolf but not completely. He didn’t seem to become a perfect Lycanthrope, but I have heard that there are these things called Rashkin, which are supposed to be the Russian perfect weapons. “Now behold true power.” He exclaimed as he bull rushed the three of us. Crossing his arms as he approached and swinging them outward, once when he was but a few feet away, with such great power it threw me and Lao to the sides and Moira standing face to face with the beast. He snarled showing her his great teeth. She took a quick step back to perform a back flip kick to the beasts jaw, doing little to him, as well as trying to dropkick the creature in the chest. The beast, seeing a great opportunity quickly grabbed Moira’s feet and with super strength swung her behind his head then down onto the pavement, knocking her unconscious.
Lao stood up, “Moira,” as he ran twisting his body in the middle of the air as he approached the monster. As the Rashkin turned to look, he caught Lao’s foot in the side of his face, completely turning him one hundred and eighty degrees. Just in time to see me flying toward the fiend’s knees planting him face first in the street. I stood quickly next to Lao. Lao ran over to Moira to make sure she was alright. Lao looked at me, “she’s breathing,” and readily got to his feet to face the now standing brute. He growled as he leapt forward. I jumped over him and turned, but Lao jumped toward him kicking him three times in the chest and then another spinning kick to the face of the Rashkin. Not enough to turn him but enough to surprise him. Lao didn’t get a chance to land, for one of the mighty hands grabbed Lao’s leg and the other swung forward to hit Lao in the chest. Lao's body was thrown backwards for his leg remained in the creature’s grasp. I ran forward and kicked out the back of the monster’s knee following it up with a spinning back fist to the face, to get him to release Lao. Lao rolled to his feet once he hit the ground and did a dropkick to the beast’s chest, sending it backwards. I looked at Lao and he looked at me, we both had the same idea, he ran forward and jump kicked the beast in the face as he was standing up as I ran and dove for the gun, rolled picked it up and fired at the large mass of fur. The disk hit and wrapped around the creature sending its shocks. It seemed like it was working till I saw all the monster’s muscles tighten and the bands begin to snap. Lao returned by me and asked, “How are we supposed to stop this thing?” I looked at him and I knew that he saw what was on my mind. I began to walk forward as I heard the metal snap completely freeing the titan. I walked up to the beasts face, and stared in his eyes as he looked up I saw the sneer in his mouth. There was an immense pain as I felt his claws pierce through my abdomen and out my back. Such a horrid feeling but I knew that Lao was about to act. With lightning speed Lao appeared between me and the Rashkin and in an instant Lao had preformed the same maneuver he used on Tire, and soon the monster was slain with a heart that was crushed in the palm of Lao’s fist.
Lao leaned over me, “Now I guess I’ve gotten what I wanted, Peace. I’m sorry, for you wanted just as I did. May you find your cure and live the life you dream of.” I finished as I saw darkness closed around me. That was the end of my journey, but Lao moved on. As for Lao, he went further east, going to experience more of the world.
