I've been raising and breeding thai chicken for the past 10 years. I breed strictly from champion
bloodline. For me right now I am only breeding to get the kind of performances to my likings. As for my pigeons, I have been raising them
ever since I started raising thai game fowls. I started out with flying rollers. Then I saw some parlor tumbler that my friend raised. I was so interested in them, but at that time they're selling them for $10 each. That was way out of my budget. Those were the single and double performers. Finally around the end of spring 2003 I went online and search for breeders of parlor rollers. I could have done that years ago, but no one knows what kind of pigeons those were called. When I was a young I didn't know what they called these types of pigeon. My brother and I asked around a lot and finally one day my brother talk to someone who knew the name of the breed we're looking for. From there on I knew what they're called. I then went online and look for the breed and breeders of parlor rollers. I join this yahoo group called APRA (American parlor Roller Association). There I got some phone numbers of breeders, and people who have some parlors for sale. So I've talked to my brother and we both bought 4 pairs from Alan Smith. Later on I've join the PPRC (pacific parlor roller club). That's how I got started with these unique breeds. From time to time I may have some thai chickens and palors rollers for sale. Just check out my for sale page to see what I got in stock for sale. If you're interested about learning how to breed and raise these unique breed of birds, you can go search online or go to wwww.parlorroller.com You can email me if I have nothing for sale on my for sale page, because sometimes
I just dont' have the time to post up every bird I have for sale. Well thanks for visiting my site.
As everyone should know most all breeders have birds that are not up to their expectation. Maybe the bird learns how to stop, doesn't roll straight, rolls too fast/slow, flies for a year or so before it grounds. Sometime it's the color they don't like, or for any kind of reason's. Maybe the breeder needs more room for the other ones. Those are the ones that breeders willing to let go for cheap, and will be more affordable for a beginner to start out with. You'll still have to remember that those birds came from good bloodlines, your not getting another breeders junk but his good bloodline. You can't expect to get his best bird or good birds for cheap as he has been working on those birds for years to get those good performances. If your willing to pay the price, then maybe you'll be able to get one or more of his best bird or close to it. Just remember that as long as the bird is from a champion or good proformance bloodlines, then theyre able to produce good to even better performance bird then they are.
Ok here's a little story about me. I first got a hold of 4 pairs of parlors. The parlors I've got are trace back to Terry Duez bloodline. I didn't get my birds from him personal but the guy I bought the birds from (Alan Smith) got his parlors from Terry and bred from those. Like I was saying I got the bird and rolled them, every one of them only rolled out to 12 ft. I wasn't disappointed because I didn't care about its performances, I was just happy to get a hold of some parlors. I've check everywhere for them bird, but can't even find a breeder near my area. So I got them out of state. I was so excited just to hold one and see them rolled. Man I felt like a little kid again. I bred those 4 pairs and got some offsprings from them. The offerings flew for about 9 months to a year before they all started to ground. When they did, they rolled out to 15 ft. Some even rolled up to 20 ft. I then bred those offprings to each other and got some that will roll off the nest, and was never able to fly at all. Those were the best ones by far. They've rolled out over 60 ft. I was so excited that I rolled them too often that they've learn to stop. They're now my breeder and have thrown some great parlors in my loft. From there on out I started breeding offspring to offsprings and sometimes inbred it back to the mother or father. I've also bought 4 parlors from Pual Gamino. One pair that I got from him had produce for me a bird that roll out 166 ft and 8 inches. One other one roll out 94 ft and 10 inches. Imagine that, the pair that produced these two palor can't even roll 10 feet. Yep you got that. This pair can't even roll 10 feet, but produce those two birds that roll far. They had more offsprings too but I haven't roll them yet as they're not ready to be rolled. There, you see champion bird from champion bloodline. You don't have to get the champion parents to get a good bird. Getting their offsprings or related birds can help you out alot like it did me. So you don't need to be disappointed if you didn't get long roller just as long as you've got one of his good bloodline then you'll be ok. You can start from there. Paul has some of the best profromance parlor out there and holds the world record at 1000 or so ft. Wow! yep thats 1000 something feet of rolling nonstop. He's been breeding parlor ever since the 70's & 80's. That should show you what kind of man he is, and what kind of performance his birds can do. With all those years of trail and error. If youre looking for top quality birds, get your parlor's from him, but remember for every good line you've got to pay the price. If you just want some to fool around with, you can probably get some for $25 to $35 (the average) each. If you look hard enough and become friend with some breeder you may get some for less or free for the asking. Just remember that if you got some for free, remember that breeder, and hope he/she doesn't come back and ask you for some free birds later on..hehehehe..lols..Just kidding. Will if they do, its best if you give them some too. Remember he/she's willing to let you have their bird for free and in return you should too. DON'T BE GREEDY. You'll make a lot of friends if you're not. If you are, let just say that'll be the last time you ever get free or cheap bird's from that breeder. As for my thai game chickens, I mostly breed them myself or get them from my cousin's. I get mine mainly from my cousin as they've got some of the best bloodline in my area. At times when I want to have different line to cross I will then go out and search for other quality line to breed with mines. I only buy top quality game chickens or proven cocks or hen and bloodlines. I'm now focusing on my import line, and plucker line. Those two lines are like the best lines I've seen so far that meet my standards. I do have some young chickens but will not put it up for sale. The price Im asking is too much and only if you're a serious breeder/cocker and want some great lines then you'll have to email me and ask. At times I'll have some up for sale and those are the ones that I'm willing to let go for cheap, or just need more room for my younger batches. Price varies from birds to birds.
