Mediacorps makes a brave attempt. It selects artistes with substance (Shi Li Pai) to act in a new family social drama <<Hao Er Hao Nu>>(literal translation is Good Sons and Good Daughters). Many of its artistes recognized for their strong acting skills will  challenge each other in  their performance.

   The story of this drama depicts the broken relationship of father, Chen Sucheng with his four children. Eldest son, Zheng Geping and daughter-in-law, Lim Mei Qiao are saving hard to migrate. Although they are not on good terms with their father they still stay together.

      Second son, Sam Yau is a meek wimp. His wife Chen Hui Hui is a career woman with no sense of security. Huang Biren acts as his career-minded daughter and Chen Hanwei acts as her boy friend.

     This is Malaysia's Star Search finalist, Gary Yap's first show and he acts as his idealistic youngest son. His parents send him overseas to study, but he keeps them in the dark studying movie making.

   The biggest selling point for this show  is the great acting performance of many of its artistes with substantial acting skills. It also has a heart-warming and touching storyline.

P/S   Hanwei is "Ou Xiang + Shi Li " Bai (Idol + Substance) among the artistes chosen.The other artistes mentioned (except for new comer, Gary Yap )are indisputably good actors and actresses frequently nominated for Star Awards. But except for Hanwei and Biren they never got into the top most popular artistes list.
