Lunar New Year's Eve Special surprises fans
This Chinese New Year eve, fans watching the Lunar New Year's Eve Special were in for pleasant surprises. Hanwei's name wasn't in the original list from MCS (and he wasn't in last year's show either). So we didn't pay full attention while the TV was on. But wait...we thought we saw Hanwei in the team game show and count-down, but we weren't sure... The camera was moving fast and he wasn't sporting long hair that usually makes him recognizable amongst the bunch of artistes.
To confirm that it was really him, we kept our eyes glued to the TV. And yes, he did appear again after mid-night. This time in full view in a solo game show against Ivy .
Oh my gosh! His hair is cut very, very short (almost botak) and dyed blonde!
A flurry of messages on the internet (fansites and MCS message board) followed. Fans couldn't wait to share about this new look of Hanwei, and remind those who miss it to watch the repeat the next day. And from the messages, it seems most people find him refreshingly cute after that hair-cut. Here are the screen-captures from the repeats:
Introduction to the show
An introductory hint to some of the artistes appearing. (Guess many including myself missed this part which was obviously pre-recorded)

Before, during and after the count-down.
Momentary glimpses as the camera swung through the crowd of artistes. The freeze frames showed that it was clearly him. That unmistakable sweet smile...
