Whats Been going on lately

The kittens are old enough to find a new home now. They are bouncing around and playing and having a grand old time. Yoda is absolutely beautiful, Subby is super cute, and Huggy is the cutest little lap kitty you ever saw. If you are looking for a cute little Bengal feel free to email me and inquire.

Our little babies are now about 6 weeks old. They eat real kitten food and use the litter box and run around like crazy. They pounce and play and are just the cutest things. Subby and Huggy, the two spotted Bengals, are girls and Yoda(fomerly known as Skunky) is a boy. I've posted recent pictures of them on the picture page, so check it out.

Two nights ago, Addie had kittens!! She had three beautiful little kittens, they are her first litter. She had two spotted and a marble. They are the cutest little mewing things. very teeny tiny and absolutly adorable. I got some new film yesterday so that I can take lots of good pictures and post them on the site so that everyone can see our cute little babies.

Addie had a false pregnancy. I think it was because we didnt get her up to Topsham soon enough in her heat. This time, we brought her up a few days before she was due to go into heat. So she had lots of time up in Topsham, about 2 weeks. So, if all goes well we will have a litter of kittens some time in October. They would be ready to go in January. I think that since Addie was there for the full time that she was in heat that there is a good chance that she will be pregnant.

Well, only a week or so left until Addie gives birth. She doesnt appear to be very big at the moment so either she will be having a very small litter or none at all. We think though, that it will just be a small litter. The breeder who owns the stud told us of a female cat whos first litter consisted of one kitten, the second litter was two kittens, third litter three.. and so on. Addie is in good health and will be getting a check up a few days before her due date to make sure she is in perfect health.

We found a stud for Addie on Saturday, her FeLV test is negative so in the next couple of days we will have a pregnant little kitty on our hands :)
Feline gestation is about 63 days so Addie should be giving birth in July. They will be ready to go mid-September. All of this is only if Addie does get pregnant. It is very likely that she will though. :)
The stud Addie is being mated with is named Casanova. And his bame is very fitting. The breeder who owns him told us that he once got a sterile cat pregnant :) Now that is a talented stud :)
So, cross your fingers and hope that Addie will become pregnant with her first litter. If she doesnt get pregnant now, we will have to wait another whole year so that she will give birth in the summer time so that we will all be home when it happens.
