SUMMARY OF 2006 JIM TAULBEE/POP-TART REGATTA
Last time at the Tiller under sail
I didn't know it at the time, but this would be the Krusty Krab's last sail.  I'm glad that it was the perfect day.  the Ragged Point Yacht Club (RPYC) got together to remember one of our own who died too soon.
15 boats raced.  We finished 8th of 15.  Not bad for an old boat, a rookie crew, and a relatively inexperienced captain.
If I'd known that was my last time at the tiller, I would have posed...haha!
Bianca racing !!!
One of my new sailing addicts, Bianca helped with the jib sheets.  Tara sailed with Rich this day.  All of us went to the pot luck dinner afterwards at Gottschalk.  It was a nice event.
As I said before, we've got to get her husband hooked too!
The course started at marker 46 and went downriver, beating into the wind for the first leg.  A merker was dropped halfway down Farnell Bay.  After we rounded it, we ran back to marker 47, took it to port, and finished back at 46. Here are some pictures of the other boats:
