Did you know Mr. Ray is a certified single-engine pilot and was a state singles champ in tennis and a Southern Professional doubles champ?
Mr. Ray attented West Virginia University and The American University , receiving the B.A. and the M.S. degrees in Chemistry. His educational and administrative training and was done at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Mr. Ray is a National Board Certified Teacher in AYA Science. He is certified by the State of North Carolina in Comprehensive Science, Math, and the Academically Gifted. He currently teaches on the high school level as well as college in the evening. He was Central North Carolina's "Chemistry Teacher of the Year" in 2000 and has taught in Guilford County for the last 20 years.
He teaches Honors Chemistry and AP Chemistry. He is married to Myra, has one daughter, Kristen and one black cat, Kissy.
His favorite place to vacation is Longboat Key/Sarasota, Florida, and he can be found there almost any Christmas.
