| Laboratory Safety Rules |
| 1. Always wear goggles and apron. 2. Generally do no wear contact lenses in the lab. 3. Prepare for labs by reading; follow directions and safety tips. 4. Do not "horse around" or bump another student. Always attend the experiment. 5. Wear appropriate clothing. Cotton is prefered. 6. Only place lab manuals or lab notebooks on the lab desks. 7. No food or beverage is permitted. 8. NEVER taste chemicals; NEVER directly smell chemicals 9. Keep head and clothing away from a burner. 10. Keep work areas clean and tidy. Clean all glassware and lab tables after you are finished. 11. Wash your hands after each experiment. 12. Know locations of all safety equipment that your teacher dicussed with you. 13. Handle acids and bases with caution ! 14. Reported all accidents to the teacher. |
