My Favorite Time of Day
I wrote this one for Teresa B, my roommate, for those timeswhen we just sit around and stare at eachother.

Lazy afternoons are my favorite time of Day Basking in the heat letting time slip away here I lay and here I'll stay Tomorrow is another Day Sun beating down Clouds drifting high no need for worry 'til Autumn creeps nigh Away from the pain of everyday life no stress, no strain, no war--no strife Days like these should last all year then no one in the world would taste of fear Yet then where could reason possibly be to let you fall in love with me? if forever content no need to repent as purpose drifts away I'd rather a heavy burden bear than no rampant emotion share But this is still my favorite time of day.
