| My time on earth has since expired, The spark is cold and dim. The flames I had won't be re-fired, My End looks truly grim. Tonight I watch the falling snow, delicate petals dancing on silver beams. Color hides beneath the flow, and quietly prances in my dreams. Gazing up to raging skies of red, I see the cherubims fall. No one but me heard what they said, and it was I who answered their call. The Lord of Heaven smiled down on me, with a face so bright, I could not see. He welcomed me with arms stretched wide, And as he embraced me, I closed my eyes and cried: "O Lord! Forgive the things I've done!" I pleaded to my King. Said He, "This battle we wage shall soon be won-- Listen to my army dance and sing!" The clouds melted like sugar upon the tongue, Feelings of euphoria, as I closed my eyes. Of fears and misgivings, I knew I had none; and then my Father and I began to rise. The angels, be-decked in robes a-glamor, welcomed us with trumpets in visions. Seraphims danced in such a manner, that peace was bestowed upon all within. The Earth below lay in silent rest, her somber days soon turning to black. Sin of charcoaled ebony robs slaves of rest, and turns toward them his damp, dark back. Mine heart; preparest the for the Appocolypse, the time is growing ever near, but until then, blessed is he with smiling lips, living and loving his life without fear. 2002 |
