Crimson: Bright red. Worn by wealthy.

Flame: Orange-red. Worn by wealthy.

Gold: Worn only by royalty.

Green: Worn by all.

Murrey: Deep purplish-red. Worn by the wealthy.

Purple: Worn by high-ranking nobility and royalty.

Red: Worn by all.

Red-brown: Popular color. Worn by all.

Scarlet: A red color. Worn at first only by royalty but moved down into nobility.

Silver: Worn by royalty.

Siskin: Light green-yellow worn by wealthy.

Slate: Gray-blue. Worn by all.

Tan: Light brown. Worn by nobility.

Tartan: A plaid pattern made of unique colors that showed the wearer's family. Scottish origin.

Tawny: A popular brownish-yellow. Worn by all.

Watchet: Light green-blue. Worn by all.

White: Worn by all.

Yellow: Worn by all.
