A brief introduction to our sponsor
Gulf Air
(Adopted from Chelsea Magazine Sep 2002) http://www.gulfairco.com
For the first time in the Club's history a
sponsors' name adorned Chelsea's famous blue shirts. The Sponsors were Gulf Air
- company motto: 'Spread your wings' - the national carrier of Bahrain, Qatar,
the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman.
The partnership, however, turned out to be a brief one and by the time Chelsea
kicked off the 1984/85 season the Gulf Air logo, complete with Arabic script was
missing from their shirts."

One of the things Gulf Air takes most pride in is its history. They have come a long way in 50 years - from small-scale commuter service to major international airline - the national carrier of Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Abu Dhabi (UAE). However, be it five or 50 destinations, seven seater planes or state-of-the-art passenger jets, two things have remained constant - a commitment to the latest aviation technology and an adherence to traditional hospitality.

Before they filed bankruptcy in 1994, Commodore had also managed to produce the worlds first multi-media computer (the Amiga) , and what is still today the best selling computer model of all time (commodore 64). Although this once dominant company is no more, they still yet live in the hearts of those who loved and appreciated this early pioneer in the realm of personal computers.
