Jewelry

I have mostly done things like barrettes and rubber bands for my hair, and lots of beads that haven't yet been made into any jewlery.
Dragon hair band I have long hair, so I use a lot of rubber hair bands, and from there I got the idea to attach polymer clay decorations to them. I use this rubber band with the dragon and the next one with the moon quite a lot. The dragon and the moon are both from Sue Heaser's book Making Polymer Clay Jewellery.
Moon and stars hair band The blue background is metallic acrylic paint. The moon and the colors in the dragon hair band are Fimo gold and silver powder.
Barrette with a polymer clay stone The design for this barrette is inspired by the book Nostalgische Broschen aus Fimo by Marlis Meyer. The stone is made from a tutorial on Polymer Clay Central. My stones didn't quite turn out as the ones in the tutorial, but I really like them.
Barrette with a lattice pattern This barrette is a good example how I tend to have a problem with 'Good Enough'. Since I'm only doing these things for myself, I do things in a bit of a hurry, and don't do them properly. Anyway, I really like how this one looks in my hair, so I think I will do another one, this time properly.
Beads made with metallic paint I got a hint on rec.crafts.polymer-clay, when I was complaining that I haven't found any mica powders in Finland, that I could try to dry brush metallic paint to get a similar effect. I didn't get that to work, but I certainly will continue to try. Instead I made by chance the first of this type of beads, and then I had a whole bunch of them. They are white Fimo mixed with red, blue, and green metallic paint.
