| I am just beginning on this family line. The only information I have right now is that Sarah Elizabeth Varvel married James McClanahan. I believe the marriage took place in Adams County, Ohio, but I don't proof of that yet. I have a death certificate for a Sarah Elizabeth McClanahan that states she was born 15 November 1835 died 15 February 1936 her birthplace is Adams County, Ohio her father is listed as Wesley Varvel-birhtplace unknown her mother is listed as Rhoda Bohns,-birthplace as Adams Co., OH I have recently e-mailed someone about this family line and they tell me Sarah mother's name is Rosanna Bowen and her father is John Wesley Varvel.
