Capt. Mark's......Welcome Aboard!
Page  1
Hi and thanks for stopping by. My name is Mark, a.k.a. Capt. Mark, Chek or Paycheck.
I'm a fit, fun, and fiesty 52, 5'10" tall, and 195 lbs.; solidly built, tanned, and tastefully tattooed (Page 6), and shave my head daily. My work keeps me in good shape. People say I don't look my age but I don't know how that happened.
I live on my houseboat on Maryland's fabulous Eastern Shore, close to the Chesapeake Bay and I hate winter.
I was a career paramedic firefighter for over 20 years, stationed just south of Annapolis, Md..  As of October 1, 2004 I was OFFICIALLY RETIRED.  I have my own businesses, Marine Operations Co., where I teach people how to safely run their boats, and 'Coastbusters' Yacht Delivery Service. I run a charter boat during the fishing season and have worked on charter sportfishing boats for 16 years. I've also been....
Coastbusters Yacht Deliveries
Harborside Bar and Grill
Coastal Fisherman Magazine
'Commocean' Sportfishing Charters
Sunset Marina-W. Ocean City, MD
Patriot Guard Riders
I live on the water so fishing, crabbing, and watersports are at my doorstep.  I have a great view of the stars at night and I love to lay on the deck and stargaze.  I bought a retirement present in December 2005....a new Harley-Davidson Softail (Page 4).
I 've worked as a mate and Captain on charter sportfishing boats out of West Ocean City, Md. with my partner, Capt. Dave, for 16 years.  I was a mate for 6 years and got my Coast Guard Captain's license in '99. I'm currently Co-Captain on a charter sportfish called the 'Commocean'. It's a 60 foot Ocean SS that's loaded and FAST. It's every Captain's dream and I think I've died and gone to heaven. The pic is a couple pages in...check it out.
I love fishing for big game fish like tuna, shark, and marlin. I'm a waterbaby. I love my son, anything water-related, the ocean, the beach, photography, sports, cooking, the sky, babes and babies, tiki bars, palm trees, surf and turf, beer 'on-the-rocks', and natures wonders. I'm a Renaissance Man and a Patriot. I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.
I was a firehouse cook for 20 years and I loved cooking for my crew.  I could try new recipes on them because they'd eat anything.  I guess you could say they were my Guinea pigs!
   I enjoy getting
together with my friends at 'happy hour'. They help keep me sane and that's a full-time job.
I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and have lived in Maryland, on or very near the water, my entire life. I've been divorced for 15 years and have a 18 year old son, Matthew, who just graduated from high school. He is the awesome, love of my life, and my BEST friend. He lives just across the Bay Bridge, in Annapolis, so I see him often.
My Dad lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and I have 2 brothers that live in Milford, Ohio and Tampa, Florida.  Dad was born and raised in NE Pennsylvania and my Mom was born and raised in Michigan.
I really have some great friends.  They show me alot of respect and help me through my tough times, whether it was a bad call at work or just a bad day. I wouldn't trade them for anything. Thanks, guys, from the bottom of my heart.
I lost my Mom, suddenly, on August 1, 2000.  She was my biggest fan and my best girlfriend.  If it weren't for her and my Dad, I wouldn't be where I am today.  I miss you, Mom, and I know you're watching over me because I still feel your presence wherever I go.
