no fees    no hassles    no kidding
June 2003:  The ICF was started in response to the high dues and
membership fees of traditional Chef's Associations.  While many of us may be very involved in social activities, we do not have the time (or money) to join traditional organizations, whose annual fees can run from $60 to $200.
How can the ICF be free?  We have NO overhead costs.  The ICF exists online, and in the hearts and minds of its members.  Even our website is free.  It is offered by Yahoo/Geocities, and is maintained by ICF founding member Chef Alexander Vargo of the Gourmet Family Restaurant in NEPA.  Materials for the site are submitted by members.  Its that simple! Membership is open to all culinarians (active or retired): Chefs, Cooks, Bakers, Preps, Culinary Students, etc.  To Join:  visit our website and follow the links, or e-mail your request to: [email protected]
What does the ICF website contain?  Useful charts & tables, current food news items, interesting food trivia, and links to dozens of food related websites.  Everything the busy cook needs to find food data online.  And we are open to your input.  The site will grow and develop to meet the needs and wants of its members
