Titanic at Chef’s HISTORY I saw James Cameron's Titanic on New Year's Eve,
1997. I was totally enthralled by the
experience. I remember imagining being
on the ship. When I went to Chef's the
next morning, the first thing I did was to tell the customers at the counter
that I had seen the movie. A Chef's
morning regular, Nick Ruvolo, told me that a local woman (Elizabeth Barrett)
had survived the disaster. I needed to
know more. What followed has become a TEN year odyssey of
researching Titanic and it's local passengers. Although I was not able to do
my annual research this year, the menu will highlight the past ten year’s
menus with some of the more interesting stories and facts, with our dinner held at Chef's
commemorating the last meals served on the great ship, on the last day they
were served, April 14, 1912. — John Pulos |

I announced in our March
monthly Newsletter that there would be NO Titanic this year. My father passed away in July and my mother
has been hospitalized since December.
I have assumed all of my father’s duties and all the bookkeeping
responsibilities that my mother has done for 57 years. I did (do) not have the time to do the
research necessary to develop the annual menu, plus all of the other details
to host the “Titanic Experience” that you all have become accustomed to. After many calls and much begging, I (we)
have now decided to hold a Titanic X event.
We will make it memorable on this, the 95th anniversary of the
disaster that changed America.
