1.2 Chariots of War

Xena tries to stop a warlord from destroying a peaceful village, but gets shot in the stomach with an arrow, leaving her bedridden for a while, or so her beau thinks <beg>. Xena must face a challenge of her own... three children who worship her!
Gabrielle too meets a cute guy, who turns out to be the one who shot Xena. The Warrior Princess recovers and receives a gift from the guy who took care of her... a dress. Since Xena's not sure what to do with a dress,<g> she just has to do what she does best... FIGHT!
She battles a dozen thugs, saving the village and then saves Gabrielle from the clutches... or should I say hooves, of a speeding Argo! . Xena changes Gabrielle's cute guy into a cuddly warlord and then has the hard task of saying goodbye to her beau and the children. She's not yet ready to settle down. She has to atone for her past. Xena and Gabrielle walk off into the sunset, leading a very tall Argo, who terrifies Gabrielle but whom we thank for those gorgeous muscular bardic legs to come! Why ride when you can walk?

This episode shows Xena's softer side and is quite sweet in some parts. A definite must for the fans of both stoic and caring Xena. We also get to see a flirty Gabrielle! <bg>
