Weslife Is Mummy's Boy Band

Mothers' pride ... (from left) Bryan, Kian,
Shane, Mark and Nicky with mums on GMTV.
CHART-toppers Westlife got the surprise of
their Westlives yesterday - a reunion with their
mums live on TV.
GMTV bosses had heard the boy band would
be abroad on Mother's Day.
So after the pop hunks sang their new single
Fool Again, presenter Lorraine Kelly announced
a live link with their mums in a Dublin studio.
The boys looked bemused when the link screen
showed five empty chairs.
But then their proud mums walked on to the
Lorraine Live! set and sat down beside them.
Kian Egan, 19, Nicky Byrne, 21, Bryan
McFadden, 19, Shane Filan, 20, and Mark
Feehily, 19, were given flowers to present to
their mothers - Patricia, Yvonne, Mairead, May
and Marie respectively.

Mum's made my day too ... Lorraine's
daughter Rosie hugs pop idol Bryan
The boys were quizzed on how well they knew
them - and squirmed when their baby pictures
were beamed to the nation.
Bryan was doubly shocked to see Mairead. He
said: "She's just had her gall bladder removed
and should be in bed.
"I couldn't believe it, it was a brilliant surprise."
Tomorrow Westlife fly to the US to start three
months of touring, and Bryan admitted: "We
were feeling bad about missing Mother's Day at
home."
The surprise was also a huge hit with Sun
columnist Lorraine's daughter Rosie, five. She
hugged her idol Bryan and would not let him
go.
Westlife will make chart history on Sunday if
Fool Again, their fifth single, becomes their
fifth UK No.1.
