Hmmm....the undead are by far the trickiest race to play as but many people feel if you know how to use them they are the best race.Undead players can either go ghouls or fiends early. With recent patches that have greatly weakened ghouls it is a much better idea to go feinds early. Unfortunatley to get feinds fast enough you will need to use a special build order that is quite complicated. When you get tier 2 though some possibilites start opening up. You can go feinds stats (a good strategy for 2v2) and throw in some destroyers later. Or you could do a nec based strategy. One nec strategy involves necs, stats, and meat wagons (for exhume corpses). With this you can simply overwhelm your opponets with skeletons.When you get to tier 3 you can start to get abominations and destrroyers. If you have enough case a combonation of these units works very well. Another thing to make sure you do when playing as undead is to get at least 2, but usually 3 heros. The undead heros are very good at hero nuking and that is very helpful in close games. I always start with a Death Knight first and get coil and his aura. Then depepnding on what I'm getting and what my opponet is getting I choose a second and third heros. In my opinion the best nuking hero is the Lich. Frost Nova deals a good amount of damage, does area of effect, and slows units. |
