Criminally Insane follows Ethel's (did I mention she is fat?) exploits after being released from a mental hospital. She rents an apartment, killing anyone who stands between her stomach and food. She's like Homer Simpson on crack.

Poor Ethel (did I mention she is morbidly obese?). She gets herself into all kinds of trouble. For instance, when a grocery delivery boy brings her an eighty dollar bill she can't afford, she kills him with his own merchandise! Then her hooker/slut niece comes to visit and Ethel (did I mention she looks like John Gooman afer eating Chris Farley's corpse?) has to aleviate that situation as well.

This exploitive little cheapie is so incompitently made that it's nearly impossible to be offended. Priscilla Alden later made a career from roles like this, between the sequel and the Death Nurse films.

The low point: Ethel (did I mention she is she disgusting to look at?).

The high point: She didn't eat the film stock.

The rarer sequel, Crazy Fat Ethel 2, is worse. This one was found at a Blockbuster Video and is a real gem.
