Creep

Tim Ritters slasher opus is best viewed by Twisted Illusions fans. All others will find it incompetent, or cheesy (which is exactly why I loved it!).

This shot on video mess stars Kathy Willets (Americas favorite nymphomaniac) as a stripper (what casting!). A LONG opening credits sequence lets us know this (love the, ahem, character development). Turns out she's also the sister of crazed maniac Angus Lynch (Joel D. Wynkoop), whose jsut escaped police custody. Of cousre, Angus has a jealousy problem, and nobody's gonna hurt his little sis.

Things to look for: A cardboard cemetery straight from an Ed Wood picture; a continuity error - a vase smashed on a characters head switches hands between takes; a stock footage conclusion (Ritter, one day, must have filmed a building demolishment and thought, This MUST be in the picture!"); and many cheesy, cheesy effects.

The Bottom Line: Creep gained some notoriety when Willets headlined the cast and, hence, this officially became an exploitation movie. Turns out it's more silly than offensive, though. Gotta love the Casio keyboard music.
