The Brain Sucker

"A full FRONTAL labotomy"

Wow. This really stinks. It's hard to find, but it's a gem. Herb Robbins' masterpiece. This 1988 shot on video flick comes in a box that reads The Brain Sucker, yet the movie's title displays Brainsucker. Which one is it? Who cares. It is incompitent on every level.

There are two films worse than this, Night of Horror and Alien Beasts, but this may be the most entertaining one of all. It is worth sitting through to the very end, then immediately reviewing.

The "plot" focuses on an evil madman who, with the help of a hunchback(!), collects women for his experiments. What are his experiments you ask? Well, to be perfectly honest, I really don't know. Look quickly for bad edits. If you're lucky enough to pause this terd at just the right time, you may catch a glimpse of a sock puppet(?!).

The poor editing and sound are the least of this sucker's problems. For starters, the "sets" are outlined in crayon, the "actors" drowned out by background noise and the "special make-up effects" are, well, undescribable.

If you rent The Brain Sucker for some unintentional laughs, you won't be dissapointed. But, be forewarned...you may never look at the words brain, the or sucker the same way again.

The low point: The catchy Brain Sucker theme song over the opening credits, which sounds like a cross between disco and Crisco.

The high point: When the director is overheard shouting "zoom, zoom, zoom!" in the background.
