Visitors from another Continent
The night life in London was alive but there was no place to go.  In Great Britain they have these laws that close the pubs down at 12:00 and if you don't want to go clubbing there is really nowehere to go unless you want to eat some food. Big bummer. Andrea, Cindy, Anick, Jess and I all had a great time nonetheless walking through this crazy city, eventually plunking down at Planet Hollywood of all places like any other desperate tourists and then spending a never-ending and very funny cab ride home when we realized none of us had the address of the hotel. Ooops. Hehe.
A few of us went to see the fun musical Chicago while staying in London.  It was an energetic show and a great way to kick of the festivities before the receptions.  The mysterious man in the leather jacket in the picture on the right is Beth's friend Nick.  They met in Russia and he is a really nice guy who put Beth up for a few days and showed her the town before the receptions.!
Marseille
Mary Margeret had a wonderful time in France finally haveing the opportunity to meet her French family.  So good a time in fact, that she didn't want to go home!
It was wonderful to have the family in France.  It gave us an oppertunity to share some of our favorite restaurants! French food is sooooo good!
In the Picture above Annick is giving the Americans some tips on the French culture
Above and to the right Jess is catching up with her niece and nephew. They had a lot to discuss after seven months.
This picture is taken at a local Jazz bar in Marseille where we went with Annick, Max, Andrea and Cindy for a drink after a great meal.  It is such a great place to go, becasue it is constucted like an old cellar or cave which is great for the acoustics.  It alsohas many hidden private rooms further off from the stage where you can get  adrink, chill and listen to the music while having some fun conversation. All the ingredients for a good night.
Above the girls are posing in front of one of Marseille's many fountains.
Above left Paul and Susan taking some time out from a night out to pose for a picture. And above right are Ben and Dawn.  We are so happy that they all took time out of their busy lives to come and celebrate with us.
Beth stayed with us for about a month and we had the opportunity to show her almost all of the best things that this region had to offer.  Above and right are a couple pictures of her exploring Marseille.
Just before the reception in Pellissane we all moved to a fancy resort to relax and take advantage of the good weather and time together.  This resort had it all---swimming pools, a golf course, it's own lake and much more.  It was a nice break for the travelers who were probably exhasuted after  staying in a city like Marseille.  To the left Paul and Ben are discussing how best to conquer the dog leg left while exploring the gold course.
It was very difficult to say goodbye to the family again, especially the little ones.  Knowing that it would only be a short while until we returned home made things a little easier. The picture on the right is of Mary-Margeret walking down the most famous shopping street in Marseille strutting with her new pink umbrella and looking very French.
