| We went to Siena on a day trip from Florence and guess what the weather was like? Yep that's right. . .raining. Shocking. Regardless we went out to discover this beautiful town hidden in the heart of Tuscany and were not disappointed. This town is truly a treasure and worth seeing. Centered around a beautiful piazza pictured above, the streets wrap around this heart of the town creating an intricate and never boring star pattern filled with elegant and tempting stores. I could have spent hours strolling down these streets lined with shops selling local specialties such as fresh homemade pasta, Italian cakes, pannetoni, mmm. . .amazing. It was a short visit but one which will remain close to our heart. Siena's charm is impossible to forget. |
