Nice in November!
We decided to go to Nice in November on a whim after having a run-in with a particularly rude man at our bank which helped us decide that it was time for us to get away from Marseille for a while. We found a hostel on-line, booked our tickets and were on the train the next morning. It was a great way to start off our travels here and although the weather was not exactly what you would expect of the French Riviera, it was still as beautiful and romantic as you can imagine.
On the edge of Nice by the water and before the coast stretches on to Monaco and then Italy, there is a beautiful park at the top of endless stairs, each one revealing a better view.  Here is the picture we feel best captures the moment.
This is Nice from the opposite end of the coastline.  Above those bright buildings is the park where the last picture was taken.  And yes those are fishermen and yes, despite the cold and clouds, there were people daring to swim since the sea was actually still warm.
Oh, did we mention that Nice was nice?
A little shot of a typical winding street in Nice.  The buildings are all different hues of orange, red and yellow, which is part of what makes the town so unique.
