Munich, Germany
We must admit that Munich was kind of a blur. Our train arrived later than expected due to a few mishaps on the German rail system and once we had dropped of our stuff at our somewhat stinky pension (which was to our surprise located in the red light district), it was already night. We went off in pursuit of the famous "Hofbrauhaus" which is known for traditional German food and beer as well as all the stereotypes that these conjure up---long wooden tables, huge beer steins, "beer wenches", wieners (hehe) and their very own "oompa band". The first beer stein hit us hard. . .and my next one nearly knocked me over. Jeremy persevered like a real trooper but we paid for our fun the next day. Determined to enjoy our time in Munich before our train left for Prague, we set out wih our backpacks and respective hangovers to see all the sites that we could squeeze into our day. Munich is beautiful (even through sunglasses) and I stand by my assertion that of all the countries we have been to, Germans know how to have the most fun. Here are a few highlights from our trip. . .
