Cassis, France
Cassis is a small provencal port town that lies just to the east of Marseille.  The town center surrounds a small port that is littered with small motor and sail boats.  The city is a very popular vacation center for French travelers.  It is clean, safe, picturesque and has a wonderful beach.
The picture to the left shows some of the typical boats housed in the port, and in the background is the highest seaside cliff in Europe (Cap d'Ail).  To the right is another picture of the port, this time displaying the colorful arcitecture this area has become famous for.
The reason why we went to Casis so often is for the beach.  It is less than an hour away by train, and the waters here  become warmer sooner than the deeper waters of the Marseille beaches.
Okay the crazy girl in the red hat is our friend Colette.  She is going to hate it that we put these pictures on the web, and if you have any complaints YOU CAN TALK TO THE HAND GIRLFRIEND!  The picture on the bottom left is one of Colette, Jess and our Scottish friend Geraldine.  Remember how I mentioned Cassis was safe, well with cops as beautiful as the one shown below no one would dare break the law.
Casis is also a nice place to get some rose wine at a cafe and unwind enjoying the terrific weather of Southern France. Or it can also  be a good place to break it down with some rappin'. . . just ask Beth. Hehe.
