| 1. Bring an extra hair tie, or clip, or whatever you use in case one breaks. 2. Have confidence, don't put yourself down. Compliment yourself! 3. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, AND PRACTICE SOME MORE!!!! You can never practice too much! 4. If you make a mistake during your routine, don't make a big deal about it. The better you recover the better impression you will make on the judges. Remember, if you were to mess up during a routine, you would have to be able to keep going 5. Don't compare yourself to others. You just need to concentrate on YOU and have confidence for YOURSELF. 6. Practice jumps, motions, etc., in front of a mirror, so you can see what you need to improve on. 7. Make sure to smile and act happy, you want to look like you're having a good time. (ALWAYS remember to smile and at least pretend to be happy, lol!) :) 8. Motions should be stiff, tight, & sharp. 9. Give your all at tryouts; do your very best! 10. Stand up straight & tall & proud. Don't slouch or lose eye contact with the judges. 11. Stretch really well before tryouts. 12. And probably one of the most important, ALWAYS SMILE!! Show you're happy & full of spirit! ALWAYS KEEP A SMILE ON YOUR FACE!! |
